WIPs and FOs for Tops & Toes!

Pretty New Buttons

<teehee!>

What a great morning! After my work out, I jumped online with the idea of reading the  top ten knitting blogs today. A google search – “knitting blogs” – showed Little Church Knits IN POSITION THREE!! Hand to heart, I choked on my tea! I googled it three more times (from different devices) just to make sure. Sure enough! Thank you, so very much, for popping in here day after day; I really appreciate it. Blogging (though great) can be a pretty lonesome affair a lot of the time, so very deep thanks for your support!

Now. I’m starting to get caught up, photography wise, with some of my finished objects and works-in-progress and thought I’d share a few today. I’ve not yet managed to get Carl to stand still in his Birthday Vest (although he’s worn it quite a lot!) so, sadly, Guinness is not among the shots that follow.

Jones by Tin Can Knits

First, the baby sweater. This makes me so very happy because I enjoyed every stitch. The pattern is Jones by Tin Can Knits and it was…well…just perfect. Just the right amount of information in an easy-to-read, mistake-proof format. And, of course, the design itself is divine. Can’t say enough good things! The yarn is Quince & Co Chickadee in the Winesap colorway. I shall call my sweater “Otto” 😉

Bay of Quinte Socks

Miss Laura's SocksI’ve been working on these socks for a while. I fell in love with the color (they match my sneakers 😉 and, in a fit of infatuation with the Fleegle heel, cast them on. I didn’t need to tweek too much and really thought I’d just wear them and forget it, not really intending to write a pattern. Now that they’re blocked, I’m kind of in love with them! I’ve written the pattern and am looking for a test knitter. Any takers? I can do yarn support on this one…KnitPicks Capretta! I’ve started a second pair. Now, who might be the possible recipient for a pair of cashmere infused, Hunter green socks, I wonder 😉

My sweet friend, Mary Jane, test knit this fluffy, softy, slouchy hat for me, Cockleshells,  so, strictly speaking, the pattern should already be published. But then I thought…hmmm. It really ought to have a matching cowl. And now it does. Now I have no excuse, barring photos, for not getting it up onto Ravelry in accordance with Resolution #2.

CockleshellsAnd last but not forgotten…my Waiting for the Kettle to Boil Sock Project! Coming along nicely…I guess I’m drinking quite a bit of tea!

Waiting for the Kettle to Boil Socks

Happy weekend, whatever you’re knitting!

    Wow. Great blog. You just picked up another reader. I would also be a willing pattern tester if you still need volunteers. I knit constantly to keep myself sane and it keeps my creative juices flowing.

    I love the idea of having a project for ‘waiting for the kettle to boil’, it is rather a boring time

      I know! And it’s surprising how much you can get done between boiling and steeping!

    Hi Cheryl
    You are amazing. You make everything look so professional and beautiful. All the projects make me want to knit them all. I just downloaded your Diana hat but now I want to knit the Cockleshell hat. “so much to do and so little time”!

    PS Love your blog! I read every one but don’t always comment. That will be resolution #1-comment on blog!
