At Claire's with The Krewe of WooHoo

What A Whirl!

Well, Mardi Gras 2016 has been done! Lent is here and it’s time to focus on self-improvement and to achieve the goals that were set at the New Year. Before we leave it all behind, I’d like to share some stand-out moments of the last few wonderful weeks. We’ve made some lovely, sparkly things, had lots of fun and spent time with friends we only see at this time of year.

At the Mask MarketI so love this mad, quirky city. It’s not for everyone but it’s magnificent in its determination to stay weird and stay real and leave a little room for people who don’t always get it right, but get it done their own way.

Gettin' it Done

That said, I’m really looking forward to getting home on Sunday and being with my fella and Teddy and Mumsie and getting back to normal. As Miss Laura puts it, “We’ve been eating like 14 year old boys!” As my stiff limbs and sore muscles will attest, however, we’ve also been working it off. Between now and then, I’ve got a couple of yarn shops to visit, the Quarter Stitch in the French Quarter and the Garden District Needlework Shop, and would like to drop in on Miss Betty once again.

Oh! And I almost forgot! I’ve been named Queen of the Krewe of WooHoo for the upcoming year with the theme ‘We Are Dragons’. I’m really excited about the creative opportunities this will bring! See you all back in the real world next week 🙂

I'm Queen!
