I’m so excited to share this with you! My fourth collaboration with Hudson+West, RHYS, is live! Part of the Deep Winter ’21 collection, my latest release is an enveloping stranded color work swancho. Blog readers can enjoy 30% off the RHYS pattern through Friday, March 5 with the coupon code BPRhys. Newsletter subscribers will enjoy 50% off the pattern for the first 48 hours.
Scale and contrast are the highlights of this pullover, with its strong, graphic patterning and bold two-shade color work. A tonal shift mid-way through the stranded color work yoke swaps light and dark creating drama and energy.
Super modern, super cozy, super fun to make + wear! Cheryl Toy’s Rhys knocks it out of the park with its swoncho shape, bold + modern yoke motif, and overall cozy feel. This pullover is work-from-home and weekend lounging ready. Made seamlessly from the top down, Rhys is knitter-friendly and delivers “one more row” syndrome from cast on to bind off!
Between Rhys and Glenwood (H+W Spring 2020), you may notice a developing fondness for the dolman line. With Rhys, I particularly enjoyed the “swancho” style because of the blank canvas quality of the extended yoke. Deeper patterns with larger motifs are suddenly possible in an elbow-length area as opposed to one that ends at the underarm.
What can I say about the magnificent Forge? It is everything I like in a worsted weight yarn. Wooly and warm yet soft and with a certain silkiness, Forge is unexpectedly lovely against the skin. It boasts a slight halo and a demi-worsted twist that highlights every stitch. And check out the color range! It is sublime and growing every season.
Once again, it has been a joy to work with Meghan + Sloane on another fresh yet elegant collection. Many thanks also to Harper Point Photography. I hope you enjoy the collection!
Cheers!
Cheryl
