It’s Valentine’s Day and I know that some of you are under snow right now. As a Northerner, I understand the need for a warm, cozy, good looking pullover to keep things pretty on a day like today. So! For your knitting and lounging pleasure, I’ve got Pepper & Snow!
Pepper and Snow is now available in my Ravelry shop and I have a lovely little discount for you. Through Friday, February 21, the Pepper & Snow pattern is just $5. Just enter the coupon code PS20 when you’re ready to check out.
There’s a lot that’s modern and a lot that’s retro in this oversized neo-Icelandic pullover. Its ample size and shaped hem are set firmly in the now, but its unisex shape and graphic color play has roots deep in the 70’s.
Pepper & Snow is worked top down with a re-imagined flying geese motif placed low on the yoke. Six inches of positive ease and a fairly ample sleeve make this pullover a great layering piece or wear-alone sweater. The shaped hem is achieved with a series of short rows along the lower back and its all wrapped up in racer striped ribbing.
I know you’ll love Brown Sheep Nature Spun. It’s a true favorite of mine, soft enough to wear next to your skin, but still toothy enough to make it perfect for color work.
Speaking of color, I’m just delighted with GrammyOhr’s take on the Pepper & Snow Pullover. I love the deep red she chose for the main color and I’m particularly pleased with her main modification, the straight hem.
Pepper & Snow goes with just about any shade of lipstick and I hope you’ll enjoy knitting Pepper & Snow as much as I did!
Love,
Cheryl
