Flowing, aqueous cables travel the length of the Bay of Quinte Socks. Delighting the eye and challenging the knitter, they create movement that mimics the melting snow as it makes its way to the bay. Fun to wear and fun to knit in any color!
I’m happy to present my new “Bay of Quinte Socks”! This cabled sock pattern is available free of charge until Monday, March 14. Hope you like it and happy knitting!
Many MANY thanks to the very talented Amy who test-knit this pattern and provided lovely photographs.

Just lovely!

Thanks!

This pattern is gorgeous. I’d love to knit them for my mom who’s home overlooks the bay (just past the Beer Store). Can you give me some pointers for adjusting them to fit size 10 very wide? I’m not an experienced sock-knitter and they’d need to be very stretchy, I imagine.
Little Church Knits
Jodi, you should knit the largest size. They have a diameter of 8″ not including stretch. If you are a tight-ish knitter, you might want to go up a needle size to 2.50mm. Do a quick swatch first, though. Rule of thumb…looser fabrics tend to be stretchier and more drape-y but less durable. Of course, message me if you get into a pickle 🙂

Cheryl the socks are beautiful. I’ll be putting those on the needles very soon. Thank you. Cheers. Christine
