Merry Mary Ann

Marius ORnamentStar of Bethlehem Christmas Ornament by Mary Ann StephensI’ve long been a fan of Mary Ann Stephens. I believe she’s been mentioned here several times. In fact, I consider her one of the Queens of Stranded Color Work. She’s constantly pushing the envelope of her craft and steadily offers more and better patterns for sale on Ravelry. She is also generous with her talent, frequently making seasonal patterns available free of charge, and reaching out to all of us ‘wannabe’s’ through her blog, Two Strands. I’ve made several of Mary Ann’s items over the years and this Christmas, opted to work a couple of her lovely fair isle ornaments. These are the Marius ornaments. They were a joy to make!

And while I’m on the subject of Mary Ann, look at her latest hat! Prettiest. Hat. Ever! Happy Knitting!
