Go from absolute beginner to capable knitter – no previous experience required! This intensive 4-hour workshop teaches the essential techniques you’ll need to take on new projects with confidence. You’ll learn to cast on and bind off, to knit, purl and combine stitches. You’ll learn to read a pattern and discuss yarn weights, needle sizes and other important technical things.
WHAT WILL I MAKE?
We’ll be making the Baby Face Spa Cloths, a collection of soft, luxurious cloths, each featuring a different stitch combination. You’ll build your stitch vocabulary while knitting these giftable cotton cloths.
WHAT MATERIALS WILL I NEED?
Project yarn and pattern will be supplied free of charge. We’ll be working with Knit Picks Comfy Worsted, a soft cotton yarn, to create our class project.
You’ll need to bring:
- US Size 6 (4.00mm) knitting needles. (These can be circular or straight, bamboo, wood, metal or plastic).
- A copy of the pattern, either printed or downloaded to your tablet, phone or e-reader. (Get your free copy HERE)
- A ruler or measuring tape.
- A small pair of scissors.
- Locking stitch markers.
- A notebook and pen.
These materials can be purchased from Joann Fabric, Michaels, Hobby Lobby or anywhere craft supplies are sold.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
You can register by reaching out to me, Cheryl Toy, through the “Contact Me” tab at the top of this page or email me directly at cheryl@littlechurchknits.com.
