Happy Friday, knitters! I hope today is the start of an exciting weekend full of knitting, laughter, friends and fun! That’s how I intend to spend it. I’m going to start tonight with my knitting buddies the Tipsy Knitters. We’ll be gathering at the Shrine on Airline where the New Orleans Baby Cakes meet the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. I’ve just learned that there will also be FIREWORKS!
We’re knitting for love tonight, with squares that will make incubator blankets for the NICU at New Orleans Children’s Hospital. These are super fun, addictive mitered squares that can be worked solid or in stripes.

Looks like it’s going to be a little chilly at the baseball park tonight! It’s the perfect night for a jacket and little shawl like this one, The Big Skinny.
I’m ready for something cozy around my neck, something I can wear with a blouse or a t-shirt for a little extra warmth, something homey and simple, squishy and soft.
