Goodnight, Sweet Prince

I wish I was writing a Free Pattern Friday post today. Instead I have very sad news. Today, we must say good-bye to our little boy, Teddy after a short illness with a spinal tumor. He’s a young fellow, which makes our loss particularly bitter.

He was our loyal defender, champion and sweet friend. He was smart, funny, goofy, playful, energetic and very big in all respects. He will leave a huge hole in our lives, but he will live in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, sweet Teddy.

Omigosh, what a handsome boy he was. Dogs leave their paw print on our hearts. I’m truly sorry for your loss. :- (

So sorry to hear this, but I hope you can take comfort in knowing you are doing what is best for him. I’m a relatively new reader of your blog but have enjoyed seeing your creativity blossom as you share projects – knitted and otherwise – with us. Blessings to you and yours.

Oh no. I am so very sorry for your loss. It is so difficult to lose a fur person, because their lives are so short, and they give their all. I know he felt your love, and that he loved you back to distraction. While this is a kindness, it doesn’t make it easy.
    Hugs.
