Episode 4: Sock Options

Episode 2: Yarn Chicken

Hello and welcome to Episode 2! This episode was MUCH easier than last; I suppose it’s just a learning curve with the video editing software. Many mountains to climb! I’m really hoping to start hitting my Wednesday goal for the podcast episodes so that I can get back to my usual routine of a shop or yarn review on Thursdays.

Here are today’s notes:

SHED: Chetwyn Farms: A very sweet alpaca farm and shop in Hillier, Ontario (you can see some photos in the opening slide show) …and yes! Kelly McClure of Boho Knits has a sweet toddlers hat called Sea Monkey in the SHED shop . I’m quite sure you can get the pattern as well as the finished item.

Knit Traders, a neat little yarn shop in Kingston. I hope you’ll watch for my style post coming soon. I’ve styled a summer wardrobe around the Neon cardigan by Jojo Locatelli.

The new yarn specification for Diamonds for Lisa which will be released on Friday is Zen Yarn Garden’s Serenity Silk. This color is Frosted Berry. I must say, the yardage is VERY good on this yarn…500 yds/100g.

KnitPicks CotlinA little less luxurious but humble and wonderful is my new favorite yarn from Knit Picks, Cotlin. It comes in really great clear yet sophisticated colors. It is the specified yarn in my just begun Orinoco Tank and in my upcoming Fairhaven Picnic Blanket. And…fyi…I find that, across the board, the Knit Picks yarn colors appear much brighter on the website than they are in real life.

I think that’s all the news that’s fit to print! See you next week!

I'd love to hear from you!
