I must lose myself in action, lest I wither in despair. -Alfred Lord Tennyson
Holy Mackerel. That was THE MOST painful thing I’ve ever done with a computer in all of my life. (I think perhaps tears in the keyboard didn’t help). I won’t apologize for being half a day late…I’m lucky to have survived!
Nonetheless, Knitters! Here it is! Episode 1 of LittleChurch: The Podcast. Couple of things…
- So sorry about the light. I’ll sit in a different spot next time.
- So sorry about the sound. I’ll clearly need a microphone.
I’ll get better at this, I promise!
I’d like to thank my gracious sponsors: Kelly from BohoKnits, Chris from Cake Tin Hats and Amy, the Sock Diva for their kind and patient support. Do click through those pretty ads on the sidebar…they’ll take you somewhere wonderful!
A very special shout out is due to Dani Cichon whose beautiful tune “Letter in the Sea” will be our theme song. What an incredibly generous thing, Dani, to allow me to use your pretty music. Dani’s new album, “Fall Together” is available as a free download via the good folks at NoiseTrade. You can click through the link on the sidebar. Absolutely download this recording and PLEASE leave a nice tip for Dani. (Be a New Orleanian wherever you are 🙂
And now for the notes…
Ravelry’s Hot Right Now can be found HERE. It’s under the patterns tab and directly under where it says “Personalize”.
“Shetland”. Ohmygoodness, yaassss!
Kate Davies beautiful hat seen recently on Shetland (I’m sure of it!) is Peerie Flooers. (Can’t believe I got that one right!)
I refer to “Elizabeth” like she lives in my head…which she kind of does. The knitter to whom I refer is the designer Elizabeth McCarten of ChezLizzie. Gracious mentor, trusted friend and intelligent sounding board, Elizabeth’s work garners international renown, just as it should.
If you’d like to join us for a fresh, new, free pattern every week, here’s a link to the Free Pattern Friday group.
While we’re on the subject of groups, I’ve started a LittleChurch: The Podcast Group on Ravelry! Doesn’t look like much yet but I hope you’ll pop in!
If I’ve missed thing, I’m sorry! (Thank goodness for the “Edit” button.) You can always drop me an email if you’ve got a question.
Tally-ho!
Christine
Congratulations Cheryl. The podcast was interesting and informative and certainly got my juices flowing to get another shawl on the go. Or maybe 4. Maybe all in the series you mentioned.
Cheers
