Deckin’ the Halls, Volume 1. Yikes. <It looks so easy when Wild Ridge Design does it>. I thought, sweetly, “Ah, here we are in the country. I must go forth into the countryside and hunt and gather…pine boughs, cones, sumach pods, red canes. It’ll be beautiful and natural and, blah, blah, blah.” My fingers are stuck together with pine resin and I have millions of little holes in my fingertips from floral wire. Ah, wilderness. The garage smells really good, though!
I made poor Carl wake up early on his first day off to drive me around the back roads of Prince Edward County, then cut and haul masses of branches, canes and pods. Poor man. Then he went so far as to clear out the pantry, assembling a dizzying array of spray paint, pliers, snippers, twine, wire and glue. Perhaps he was hoping I’d poison myself?
I’ll be sure and let you know how it turns out. I did manage to pull together these Christmas sofa cushions, however…all piped and with zippers! They are super easy to make. If I ever figure out how to use the HandyCam, I’ll make a video tutorial.
So onward and upward to Volume II. Have you noticed it’s snowing on my blog? That’s just for Garret who saw snow today in Ohio 🙂

Snow and I have issues. I haven’t seen any, at least non-digital snow since that fateful Monday. We haven’t had a snowy Christmas in a couple of years. (I think it rained last year.) Really, after about noon on Christmas day I’m tired of it.
We got the tree up this morning. Saying this though, the “we” would imply that I did something besides make sarcastic comments.

Thanks! I love snow too…til about January 5th. Unfortunately, it sticks around much longer 🙂

Love the pillows! Snow is one of my favorite things. Good luck with your wreath; I am sure it will be beautiful.
