With all the yummy new supplies arriving every day, it feels like Christmas around here! Never did I expect to find a big, 50 pound box from China awaiting me at the Post Office. I can’t believe how quickly packages from Asia arrive in Canada…much faster (strangely) than when I was ordering them in the US.
This amounts to just about the sum-total of my frame order, with just a few little bits of hardware yet to arrive. Now I’ve got to bust my butt putting together the bags to go in ’em!
Here is some pretty bling I received from the lovely Jill at The Jillery Box. What a great inventory Jill has and she ships in a twinkling! These will find homes on the front of the Legend Frame Bag which I’m doing in thick, squishy wool melton.
Since Sunday was a (rare) glorious summer day, I spent the entire day knitting away in my little gazebo while Teddy snoozed in the sun. I made great progress on the Timberline sleeve. While I’m having an awfully good time with the two sweaters I have on the needles, I really feel I need to finish those two lingering pairs of socks. The goal for this week: get ’em both on my shiny new sock blockers. Thankfully, “Gone With The Wind” is on tonight…that’ll certainly help!

I love the cables! Good luck with the bags, I’m sure they will turn out fantastic. I’m not sure why China ships faster to Canada than the US. It’s worth looking into though. (Not that I will bother to look it up, don’t get the wrong idea.) GWTW, I’ll be watching it tonight too, and hopefully finishing the border on a large lace shawl. (I actually didn’t know about it till just know.) Nothing like a four hour movie that you’ve seen dozens of times to make great knitting progress.
And yes, I love cables best of all. So easy, but looks so hard.

I love that sleeve! It makes me think of going on a walk on a crisp autumn day when the leaves are turning. Now I want to start something with cables again.
