Hi Cheryl, I have a question regarding reading charts for nordic mitten knitting. I want to try to knit the deathflake pattern that I got from ravelry and I am confused by the palm side of the mitten. It has what I assume is the start of the design that will carry on to the thumb, but I’m not sure and I am a beginner at this style living in a new country with no one close to ask for help. (sniffle, sniffle, lol) Thanks for any tips you could give me.

Hi Heather! Sure, I’d be happy to help if I can!
You’re correct about that…the lower part of the thumb is part of the thumb gusset where your hand gets wider before it separates from the hand. I’m going to take a peek at the pattern you’re using and see if there’s anything there that might be unclear or misleading. I’ll get back to you tomorrow with some tips. 😉
Hi Cheryl, I was in your Brioche knitting tutorial at Creative Festival and I was wondering about the tutorial on line. Can’t seem to find it. R Murphy
Hi Rae! Thanks for stopping by! I’ve got tutorials all set to go but I’ve been having trouble getting them to upload to the internet 🙁 Please check back!
Thanks so much for these additional videos. I am surprised how much I had forgotten in just a few days:) Your videos are just the right pace for me to see exactly what needs to be done. Thanks again–and yes I too enjoyed your class at the Creative Festival.
