“A” is for Awesome!

Beginner's KnittingIs this not a happy crew of new knitters? We gathered last night at Rosehaven for Session 1 of our two-part “Learn to Knit” class. This photo was taken during our ‘break’…these girls didn’t budge! They just kept knitting!

We began by working a swatch using all the techniques needed to complete the Rasta Infinity Cowl starting with the long-tail cast-on. I think that was the trickiest part of the evening, but I swore they’d be casting on in their sleep and I don’t think I lied. The knit and purl stitches were a breeze after that!

Here’s what we’re making:

Rasta Infinity Cowl

This snuggly little cowl uses 1 skein of super-soft and fluffy Malabrigo Rasta so we’ve got knitters working in a  lush range of fabulous colors. (I’m really pleased that Madeline-the-brave chose the gorgeous bright pink 😉

It was well after 9 pm when we realized our time was up. I hope everybody is as keen today! Can’t wait to see the results next Thursday night 🙂

I'd love to hear from you!
