Happy New Year, everyone! I’ve been under water the last several weeks due to my (somewhat ill-timed) decorating project and then…well…Christmas. We still have house guests from Denmark, but we’ve successfully shipped them off to NYC for a few days which gives me a moment to re-group after the whirl wind of cooking and cleaning.
The first months of 2014 are shaping up to be busy! I have two knitting classes to teach at my LYS, Rosehaven Yarn Shop. The first is Beginner’s Knitting and the second, a sock class. Since all the last-minute knitted Christmas gifts were finished and wrapped, I’ve spent some quality knitting time testing every short-row heel technique ever invented, so I have a lot of heels laying around with no socks attached đ Interesting. I have all of the documentation for the CYC Certification Program and I’m ready to start knitting the swatches. Anybody out there done the Knitting Instructor’s Course? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
The Timberline Sweater is done except the sewing and blocking, but I’ve had neither the time nor the space to lay it out and finish it. That will be a glorious day indeed!
Here are some scenes from our wonderful Holiday Season (including some of the little knitted gifties) in which we truly blew the doors off Christmas. We are fat, happy and freezing!
Clearly, my fella was listening (and reading my blog!) as evidenced by the lovely wooden swift and bighappyshinywonderful KitchenAid stand mixer!

Crazy huh? I’m such a TCM addict that hubby got me the mug đ (If they made a t-shirt he’d have gotten that too!)
