Oh, what a dreadful week we had. I sat down last Monday morning to proudly post about the strawberry jam I made over the weekend when <POOF!> my Mac went black! I tried everything, but could not bring it back to life which is really depressing considering it is under 2 years old and I just finished paying for it in July đ So, with a lump in my throat and a knot in my heart, I threw it and me into the car and headed to Kingston to the repair shop. My greatest fear was that the logic board had crashed and all of my data, software and photos would be lost.
Turns out it was the logic board for no reason whatsoever. The technicians found absolutely no damage from heat, liquid or anything else. it just…failed. Needless to say, I am scouring the web for iCloud backup plans. The good news is, I lost not one lick of data or software. Go figure. I can’t say I’m impressed with Apple right now, however. Considering what we pay for these machines, one would think the logic board would last longer that 2 years. Ah, me. I’ll just put it (and the $600+ dollars it cost to repair) into the past. I shan’t dwell on it any further.
On a more positive note, I completed three knitting projects this weekend just in time for a little chilly snap that came on yesterday. I love it when a plan comes together đ
The Dog-Walkie Sockies, pictured above with my new Dog-Walkie Shoes (a present from my Fella:) are done! The Nutkin Socks…Done! And, my Dundurn Cardigan is… Done! Boy, it was nice to snuggle into it for Teddy’s walk on the first chilly morning of fall. Here is a redoubtable photo since I’m all alone out here and I haven’t yet managed to teach Teddy to take pictures. Tomorrow is another day.

Love your sweater and your socks. Sorry to hear it is chilly there, it is here in the south too I am afraid.

Maybe it’s time to start knitting those socks!
