Welcome back! And welcome home, 2016. A lot of wonderful things happened to me in 2015, so I think I’m on a bit of a roll 😉 Best to all of you!
The holidays, for all of our clap-trapping about “keeping it low-key” were an absolute gas! We spent good deal of time with friends we haven’t seen in a while, new friends and family. We ate and drank all of the things. This is Carl’s delicious Christmas Breakfast Polenta with roast vegetables topped with crab. Oh my goodness!
We had something of a Santa hat theme going on…(if you remember, I made the little knitted ones last year…)
This year’s featured Christmas Eve cocktail was “Snow on the Seine” which involved gin, a simple syrup made with Earl Gray tea, a float of champagne on top and a lavender garnish. Mmmmm. I could have gotten waaaaay into them…luckily I stopped just in time!
Ted was possibly the happiest pooch in the world…
….and then he got really hung over…
After the majority of the cooking was done, I had ample time for knitting. I got a whole bunch done, including this really great Jones cardigan by Tin Can Knits. Though I did lots of knitting, I must confess that my photography lags somewhat. I’ll get caught up soon.We wrapped up the holidays by getting a little tipsy and making this video. Happy New Year, friends!
